Tomato Lycopene

Tomato lycopene extract is derived through solvent extraction from tomato pulp. Subsequent evaporation removes the solvent leaving a dark brown to red viscous oleoresin. This process is applied to pulp produced from fresh, edible varieties of tomato. The natural food coloring component is lycopene.
